CINEMA 4D Architecture Edition
Now that you have completed the final design of your new building, all that needs to be done is to create some great-looking images for presentation. The CINEMA 4D R10.5 Architecture Edition gives you all the tools you need to create breathtaking images and animations of your architectural objects.
Files can be imported seamlessly from leading CAAD packages and the comprehensive toolset and libraries contain everything you need to add life to any object.
Numerous options are available for rendering spectacular images. For example, the Sketch and ToonAdvanced Render module can be used for photo-realistic renderings. The Advanced Render module offers especially realistic light dispersion capabilities using Global Illumination (Radiosity). module can be used to create an illustrated or sketched look (excellent for use with conceptual work or for presentations) and the
Scope of Delivery: The Architecture Edition consists of the CINEMA 4D R10.5 core application, the Advanced Render module, the Sketch and Toon module and the Architecture Extension Kit. The Extension Kit includes numerous essential tools for the creation of architectural visualizations (see information box at right).

CAD Connectivity
The first step to creating a visualization using the Architecture Edition is to import your CAAD file to CINEMA 4D. This can be done quite easily by simply exporting your file from your CAD environment (Allplan, ArchiCAD or VectorWorks) directly into the C4D file format. All defined structures and hierarchies will be supported, and materials applied in the CAD application will be recognized and displayed in CINEMA 4D.
Subsequent changes to your model can also be easily transferred to CINEMA 4D. Whether you move a wall, add a window or delete an addition, the eXchange plugin will recognize the changes made when the file is imported anew and the existing visualization will be modified accordingly.
Objects modeled in CINEMA 4D can even be transferred to Allplan via XML. You can use the Material eXchanger plugin to automatically exchange a file's CAD materials with high-end CINEMA 4D materials upon import.
You have just completed the first steps to successfully creating a visualization - it's as easy as 1-2-3.
Decor
The comprehensive object and material libraries included in the Architecture Edition provide everything needed to create great-looking architectural visualizations. A wide variety of interior furniture and decor items are included, many from leading designers. These objects cover a wide range of applications.
Included are various office furnishings (desks, chairs, shelving, containers, lecterns), living room furnishings (tables, sofas, lamps, chairs) and bathroom fixtures (bathtubs, sinks, toilets, mirrors). To top off your scene we have also included numerous useful outdoor objects (traffic and street lights, benches, bus stops, etc.) as well as human silhouettes (3D) that can be integrated perfectly into any scene.
All objects have been optimized for use in CINEMA 4D. Only high-end materials have been used that make it easy to produce great-looking renderings. Each object's geometry was optimized for minimal memory usage - without compromising quality. This means that all 56 office furnishings combined contain a total of about 100,000 polygons and take up less than 3MB of memory! This frees much-needed memory for the most important part of your visualization - your own model.

Virtual Walkthrough
One of the most exciting features of the CINEMA 4D Architecture Edition is the Virtual Walkthrough plugin. With it you can interactively navigate through your model.
The Virtual Walkthrough tool includes and intelligent collision detection system that lets you use the mouse and keyboard to easily walk through your structure. Collision detection can be quickly added to or removed from individual objects (e.g. panes of glass) and an adjustable step height function even lets you climb stairs.
The Virtual Walkthrough plugin's Collision Orbit tool lets you create an automated fly-around around your structure. Of course collision detection is available here as well. The Collision Orbit tool's collision detection feature keeps the camera from strafing the structure during its fly-around.
The camera movement of either of these tools can be recorded as a path and later rendered as an animation. This is an ideal tool for the creation of realistic-looking animations.
