Editing file format: CineForm Visually Perfect™ CFHD, YUV 4:2:2. AVI wrapper is compatibile with other Windows AVI applications.
Simultaneous real-time effects on multiple layers of HD video: - Keyframeable color adjustment - Over 40 parameter-controllable transitions - Slow-motion and frame hold - Static and moving titles and video overlays - Pan/Scan/Rotate/Zoom (PSRZ). For standard definition output, PSRZ allow real-time zooms and camera rotations to be added in post- production without any loss of pixel resolution.
Supports Adobe's multi-cam feature (using Premiere Pro 2 only)
Batch capture using the Adobe Premiere Pro capture interface
Supports Canon's new XL H1 including its 24F progressive mode for a true 24p editing workflow
Supports JVC's new GY-HD100U camcorder and BRHD50U deck, including 24p acquisition and editing
Supports Sony's HDV CineFrame modes: CineFrame 30, 25, 24 - CineFrame 25 supports optional conversion during capture to 24p for film - CineFrame 24 supports optional inverse pull-down to 24p for film

Multiple video quality range settings during capture or render
Multiple resolutions supported simultaneously on timeline
24p editing workflow. If exporting to M2T, automatic pull-down conversion from 24p to 60i is provided
Includes HDLink, CineForm's HDV I/O application and MPEG conversion utility the operates external to Adobe Premiere Pro
Threaded encoder for faster ingest on dual-core processors
After Effects 6.5 (and 7) importer/exporter components.
Graphics card support: Most Matrox, nVidia, and ATI graphics cards are supported. Aspect HD does not require GPU processing. For dual-head graphics cards, the second display should be configured to use the overlay channel
Component Output Graphics cards (optional): Both the Matrox Parhelia and Nvidia FX540 are recommended for monitoring the timeline using their HD component outputs.
Output Formats supported by Premiere natively or through plug-ins, including: - HD: Windows Media Video 9 (WMV9); MPEG2 MP@HL, MPEG2-TS MP@HL (HDV), - SD: MPEG2, DVD (anamorphic and letterboxed), Analog VHS (External video output card required)
Supported HDV cameras: - All Canon HDV Camcorders and Decks - All JVC HDV Camcorders and Decks - All Sony HDV Camcorders and Decks
PC System Requirements
Performance Note: The performance of Aspect HD is scalable--in other words, its performance is influenced by CPU speed, memory speed, and drive speed. Systems meeting our "minimum" configuration are well balanced, and will yield excellent real-time video editing performance. On a Minimum system you will be editing 2-4 HD video streams in real time without dropping frames, including transitions, motion, and titles. Recently we have also been testing dual-core performance from both Intel and AMD. In a word our summary is "Wow!". A slightly longer explanation is that Aspect HD software is already internally threaded, so these new dual-core procs work very well, much better than the older single-core "hyperthread" technology. The speed of these CPUs further exposes the need for RAID 0 striping of your hard drive array because we can pull so many streams simultaneously.
(1) Dual-Processor Note: CineForm Intermediate technologies are dual-processor aware. If you have a dual-processor Xeon or Opteron PC you will achieve higher performance for both capture (ingest), as well as timeline editing performance.
