NewTek DataLink™ is a TriCaster™ and VT[5]™ plug-in that dynamically updates titles and overlays from external text feeds. With DataLink, any Title Template can access data across the network and, in real-time, display scores, times, prices or any other rapidly-changing information on screen. With DataLink installed, ‘key’entries from a field means that this field will be replaced with a live feed from, for example, the Daktronics’ clock input. There are no limits to the number of different feeds on a page, and the entries can mix with other text.
All text properties, alignment and fonts in the template are preserved.
DataLink can read input from almost any database, shared file folders or xml files. DataLink instantly updates your TriCaster with accurate, immediate data and is already compatible with existing systems, including Daktronics® scoreboards, IDS™, OES™ and White Way™ feeds. The flexibility of auto-updating extends to static data as well. DataLink monitors changes made within xml files, and can monitor changes within text files. DataLink is compatible with nearly all databases accessible by ADO, which includes database servers that have support for connection strings.
