	The LaCie AIT Drive is a self-cleaning drive, eliminating the need for manual removal of dirt and debris under normal operating conditions. Advanced Metal Evaporated (AME) media was designed to provide a virtually contamination-free environment. A patented Active Head Cleaner will automatically perform cleaning functions within the drive, should the need arise.		LaCie AIT Tape Drives allow you to share your backup devices on both Mac and PC platforms. Featuring trusted, standard technology, these drives allow for scalability and capacity growth well into the future.
	LaCie AIT Tape Drives' fast data transfer rates are due to advanced Memory in Cassette (MIC) technology. It is no longer necessary to search through a tape to find a specific file; the 64KB MIC chip knows where the file resides and is able to locate specific data within seconds.		With compact, slim design, LaCie AIT Tape Drives can easily be incorporated into a variety of desktop environments. A sturdy aluminum design allows these drives to be used as portable, stand-alone devices; stacked; or quickly integrated into standard 19-inch computer equipment racks.
