VideoRaid RTRX rack mountable disk arrays feature a high-performance Ultra160 SCSI interface and can be set up with 5 or 10 disk drive modules. They provide data protection in the event of disk drive failures yet cost less than unprotected JBODs. The RTRX is qualified by the leading vendors of NLE gear.

VideoRaid RTRX disk arrays sustain a data transfer rate up to 125 MB/second (5 drive configuration) and over 200 MB/second (10 drive configuration) enough bandwidth to support the playback of 10-bit, 1080i HD footage.

VideoRaid RTRX disk arrays will continue to operate with no loss of data and no degradation in performance in the unlikely event of a disk drive failure, which allows the user to complete work in real-time environments without requiring immediate drive replacement.

With removable disk drive modules, power supply & RAID controller, these field replaceable components enable the user to make quick job changes and simplifies system upgrades and serviceability. Simply insert a new drive module and the system automatically resumes the protection of your valuable content.

VideoRaid RTRX disk arrays are optimized with Medea's proprietary Multi-Stream Technology (MST). MST is a sophisticated adaptive caching technology that dynamically analyzes the request of the host and automatically configures the arrays on-board (up to 128 MB) cache to efficiently handle up to 3 simultaneous streams of uncompressed video.

The 5-drive VideoRaid RTRX comes complete with 5 removable drive modules, removable RAID controller and power supply, 2 meter VHD to VHD SCSI cable, VHD SCSI LVD terminator and installation guide.
